Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3790 An Unexpected Individual

Chapter 3790 An Unexpected Individual

Alex arrived back at the teleportation formation on the cliff of the Sky God's Palace. As soon as he arrived, he could feel the much stronger Qi that surrounded this region. The Celestial Spirit vein hidden underneath this mountain made this such a good place to cultivate in.

"I'm glad I didn't waste time back in the Red Heaven Realm. I would be missing out on 15 years of this," Alex said to himself as he walked back up the stairs and entered the palace.

There was no one there to welcome him, but that made sense since no one knew he was coming back. His mother and the rest had to have been cultivating, no doubt. He had nothing else to do but go back and cultivate as well.

Alex strolled across the path between the courtyards, heading toward the one that belonged to Ronron. He was halfway through the road when someone walked out of the courtyard he was passing.

Alex merely glanced at the person who had come out without much intention to stop. But the moment his eyes landed on the person, his entire body froze.

The other person was the same, freezing the moment they saw him.

The person was a woman in a bright green robe, with a look that seemed young at first, but became aged the more one focused on her.

Though Alex needed all but a glance to recognize her instantly.

"Dawnblade?" the woman called out.

Alex immediately bowed toward the woman. "Greetings, Artifact God."

The woman was none other than Shen Yaojia, the current Artifact God, disciple of Steelmind, the first Artifact God. She was Godslayer's goddaughter.

The Artifact God couldn't speak for a few seconds, the surprise freezing her completely. After a moment, she finally got the words out.

"I… I had heard you were gone to a secret realm and wouldn't leave for another decade or two."

"I left early," Alex said. "I didn't expect you to be here so soon either, senior."

"I meant to come sooner, but I had some obligations to fulfill before I could leave," she said, her face quite blank. "How long have you been back?"

"I quite literally just returned," Alex said. "How have you been, Senior? It has been a while since we last met, hasn't it?"

The woman nodded. "It indeed has. I was… I was told something by the Sword God, err… Senior Bladedance. Is it true?"

Alex frowned slightly. "Is what true?"

"About my master," she said. "I was told that…"

"Oh. If you are speaking of his demise, then it is indeed true," Alex said. "I'm not sure how much detail my master has gone into about it though. I can tell you about it if you wish for me to."

"I would absolutely like to hear more about it," the woman said. "When will you have the time?"

"Let me return to my courtyard. I will send my daughter over to let you know if I don't have anything immediate to do."

The woman thought for a moment and nodded. "I have a small task of my own for now. Let us meet again in a few days."

Alex nodded and bowed. "I shall see you soon, Senior."

The woman left after a brief pause.

Alex continued as well, still quite surprised that the Artifact God had made it to the Sky God's Realm. How long had he waited for her to arrive? He didn't even know at this point. For as long as he could remember since Godslayer's death, he had been looking forward to meeting with this woman, and finally, he had the chance.

Now that she was here, he wondered how the rest of their conversation was going to go. She had been willing to help him in the past, but that was when Godslayer had still been alive inside him. But what now?

'I didn't think this far ahead, did I?'

He doubted she would do much in the way of hurting him, but what really mattered to him was whether or not she would be willing to teach him about artifacts. That was the thing he worried about the most.

He arrived at his courtyard a few minutes later, surprising the person inside.

"Alex? How are you back so soon?"

Hannah had been in the yard, training with her sword when Alex walked in.

Alex looked around, but he didn't find anyone else. "Is it just you, Sister?" he asked.

"Everyone is either busy cultivating or off to some tournament," she said. "Why did you come back so soon?"

"I came when I was done," Alex said. "When did you return? And when are you leaving?"

"I don't think I'll be going anywhere for a long time now," Hannah said. "Something about the gods coming over soon and the sages needing to stay around for that. I'm finally free."

Alex smiled a little. "That's great. Have gods started coming over already? I saw the Artifact God on the way here."

"I think so," Hannah answered. "I haven't personally seen any one of them, but Ronron did mention that the Artifact God, Archery God, and Technique God have arrived. Are you in trouble with any of them?"

"Not with the Artifact God, no. I've met Archery God before, but I don't know what she thinks about me. She did try to help me back then, but it was mostly because of Senior Grimsight."

"Grimsight?" Hannah asked.

"An old Senior that's with my alchemy master," Alex said. "Last I heard, they were together. I should meet the Archery God and find out where they are."

"And the Technique God?" Hannah asked.

"Never met her before. But I heard she tried to help Father when she was here, so I can only imagine she is a friend," Alex said.

"We didn't get to meet her since Uncle was directly taken to her courtyard," Hannah said. "Anyway, you must be tired. Go in and rest. I'll be out here training for a while still."
