Chapter 708: Taboo Films

“I trust your judgement.” In public, Gao Ming didn’t do anything intimate like patting the man’s shoulders. He looked scared, just like how Lee Sansi would. In the bus, Gao Ming’s stomach grumbled hungrily. He resisted the hunger as he headed back to Dog Street. Before he reached the studio, he heard the sound of an argument.

“Director Lee will return! I trust that he will not abandon us!”

“Don’t push it! I’ll fight back!”

“Don’t touch my camera!”

The three shouted loudly, but they were still dragged out of the studio like dead dogs.

“He went to the night police without any money. Even if Director Lee is alive, he might be missing his skin. Anything valuable he has is already gone.”

“Nonsense! Director Lee will be fine!” Jia Youzhi was surprisingly stubborn for once, “I’ve known Director Lee for years, and we have been through a lot. We still have a lot of tricks up our sleeves!”

Gao Ming heard his three subordinates, and his heart warmed. Thinking about the connection between Black Crow and the woman, he wondered if he should reassess his three underlings. Before Gao Ming could do that, Jia Youzhi saw him. He shrugged off the man who caught him and shouted at Gao Ming, “Director Lee!” His tears fell. Jia Youzhi finally dared to be scared. “You’re finally back. They are Hei Ao’s people. They want to sell our organs!” Jia Youzhi cried and hugged Gao Ming’s leg. “Director Lee, they’re here for you, not us! Do you still have anything valuable on you?”

Jia Youzhi and Ding Xiang were worried about Gao Ming’s body because they were concerned that his valuable organs had already been taken. The sense of camaraderie disappeared. Gao Ming kicked Jia Youzhi away. “I’m fine.”Gao Ming walked to stand before the ruffians. “The contract states clearly that I still have one week. What are you doing to my people?”

“The boss says that you have to pay today!” Hei Ao’s people were very rude, but who knew how long that would last?

“It looks like he’s in desperate need of money! Is the news real?” Just as Gao Ming said that, the ruffian swung his fist at him. Gao Ming saw the man’s movement, and he could evade it. However, he forced himself to take the hit. Gao Ming was knocked into the air. He spat out blood as he fell. It looked like he had injured his internal organs. The ruffian didn’t think he hit that hard. He was anxious when he noticed Gao Ming was about to faint.

Gao Ming’s hands trembled as he glared at the man. “Tell Hei Ao that I’ll pay him back tomorrow.”

“Brother Yi, living organs are valuable, and dead organs are not. We should visit the next target. We’ll return with the tools and the doctor tomorrow.” The two ruffians consoled their boss. They were there to collect debt. They didn’t dare to kill Gao Ming.

“Lee Sansi, I’ll be back tomorrow. If you don’t have the money, you and your people will be dragged to Zhu Chuan’s labs. At that place, you’ll realise how precious death is!” The ruffian threatened. “Let’s go!”

The people living on Dog Street wouldn’t have any money. The ruffians still insisted on getting money. People were mad, but no one dared to say anything. After Hei Ao’s people left Dog Street, Jia Youzhi and Ding Xiang pounced on Gao Ming and started to cry.

“Stop crying.” Gao Ming opened one eye. “I’m still alive.”

“Director, what should we do tomorrow? Zhu Chuan’s living human labs are scarier than hell!”

“What do you know other than to scream all day? Since you are familiar with how scary that place is, why don’t you think of something?” Gao Ming tried to sit up, but he failed and coughed up blood.

“Director Lee, stop moving. You have to look after yourself. If you injure your organs, they won’t be valuable anymore.” Ding Xiang wiped the corner of Gao Ming’s lips and warned.

“If I hear one more thing about organs, I’ll drag all of you with me if I go to hell!” Gao Ming grabbed the handkerchief and crawled up. “Enter the studio!”

The group cleaned up the mess made by the ruffians and entered the studio. The only computer was broken. Wu Wei managed to protect the camera.

“Director Lee, how did you manage to escape from the night police? They are not exactly known for their kindness!” Ding Xiang was curious once they were safe.

“I promised them greater benefits than our existing debt.” Gao Ming frowned as he stared at the ruined computer.

“Director Lee, you’re amazing! You dare to lie to the night police!” Jia Youzhi was impressed.

“I’m curious. At this juncture, why haven’t the three of you escaped? Do you plan to die with me?” Gao Ming turned to scan them.

“We’re your friends. We…”

“Don’t try to fool me.” Gao Ming stopped Jia Youzhi and turned to the hesitant Wu Wei. “You tell me.”

“It’s this. The three of us had a quick discussion this morning to see how we could get money quickly. Sister Ding Xiang had a great suggestion,” Wu Wei betrayed Ding Xiang easily. “She said we could make taboo films.”

Gao Ming frowned deeply.

“Is this city that crazy?” Gao Ming crossed his arms. “Do you plan to shoot yourselves being hunted?”

“No. Other than this type of video, there is another kind of taboo film. It’s to enter the dangerous taboo zones to take videos.” Ding Xiang took out her phone. “For example, Third Street has many zones that are closed off by the night police. Many people are curious about the horrific incidents that are happening inside them. If we can get good scoops, we can sell them for a lot of money.”
